Having finished fifth (2007) and third (2003) in the British Rally Championship and won Group N and the Production Cup in the BTRDA Championship in 2002, Rob first competed in Barbados in 2008 with a Subaru Impreza N11. Group N victory and third overall two years later was followed by a repeat on the loose in Rally Jamaica in the same December, making him the first, and so far only, driver to do the double in the same year (a signal achievement for an overseas visitor). Since then, he has become a regular competitor in the Barbados Rally Club Championship and has finished second in Rally Barbados four times, including in his Ford Fiesta WRC (famous for Ott Tanak’s dive into a lake in Rally Mexico 2015). He first drove an R5 Fiesta in 2015, winning the Tempest Rally in the UK, acquiring his own in 2021, before replacing it with a Fabia R5.
