Until 2015, former co-driver Josh Read’s motor sport career had almost exclusively revolved around rallying, but he branched out into circuit racing in the new Suzuki Challenge Series Swift Cup; there, he found a happy hunting ground, winning twice and clocking up more podium finishes than anyone else (17). In rallying, the Toyota Starlet he first drove in 2005 grew with him, steadily developed from its early near-production spec into a formidable SuperModified machine; he won eight class titles in 10 years, often in hotly-contested classes, was 2wd Champion twice, also Champion Driver in 2007 and finished in the top 10 of Sol Rally Barbados three times. After an accident during Sol RB17 put Josh out of action for a couple of seasons, he returned in October 2019 (much to the delight of island fans) and went on to win a ninth class title in 2021.
